Beacon Women Take Third, Fourth in 3000m

Eugene, OR - The Northwest Christian College distance track teams ran in Portland on Friday afternoon in the Warner Pacific College Mini Meet. Bethany Howard and Jessica Rose led the charge for the women, taking third and fourth place respectively in the 3k race.
Howard took third behind a time of 11:32 and just eight seconds later it was Rose crossing the finish line.
Two men also ran the 1500m, led by Brandon Kundert, who took a sixth place finish (4:28). Josh Waring finished in 12th place with a time of 4:52. Nick Ackerman made his season debut for the Beacons in the 3000m run, taking 15th place at 11:15.
The Beacons will be back in action on Friday when they participate in the Oregon Relays and run at Hayward Field for the first time.
