Title:
Superintendent, 173 Fighter Wing Aircrew Flight Equipment Section
Hometown:
Born and raised in Medford, OR. Currently live in Klamath Falls, OR
Favorite Quote/scripture:
“Strive for perfection in everything. Take the best that exists and make it better. If it doesn’t exist, create it. Accept nothing nearly right or good enough.”
Sir Henry Royce, co-founder of Rolls Royce
Favorite Music:
I like most anything. I usually listen to Rock/Alternative Rock, particularly while exercising.
Favorite Movie:
I like the James Bond movies. My favorite is the newest Bond movie, “Casino Royale.”
How did you arrive at Northwest Christian?
Several people that I know went through the cohort program in Klamath Falls, and I was able to track their successes. It was a very “user friendly” program for working adults and I figured I would give it a try. It turns out that this was one of my best decisions ever.
What is your favorite thing about the students, faculty, and staff?
My fellow students were/are awesome!! We became a really tight-knitted unit and knew we could count on each other if needed. A few of us went through some trying times with births, surgeries, and other issues. We were all able to lean on each other and get through what ever was thrown at us.
Favorite Class:
I absolutely loved the Biblical themed classes taught by Jim Larson. He opened my eyes to a lot of things and enabled me to be able to think in some broader terms. Thanks Jim!!
Advice for incoming students:
Be responsible and accountable for your actions. Don’t get too wrapped around the axle while at school, you will have plenty of opportunities throughout your life to do that.
I like my job because of…
The fact that it offers my customers (fighter pilots) the ability to get out of an un-flyable aircraft, survive, and return to see their families again.
Greatest accomplishment so far?
15+ years of marriage and raising two great daughters
Where do you see yourself in five years?
In five or so years I see myself retiring from the military and trying to decide what I want to do when I “grow up”. I have no doubt that the education I received during classes at NCC will do nothing but help me when that time comes.
If a friend or relative was considering Northwest Christian, and you had to describe the place in a text message with only a few words, what would you honestly say?
Check in to it. You won’t regret it!
