Favorite Quote/scripture:

“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law? Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’  All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Matthew 22:36-40

Favorite Music:

Prayer of the Children (a choral piece about war and its effects on children)

How did you choose Northwest Christian?

Dave Downing, the Associate Pastor at my home church in Lebanon, was directly responsible for my attending NCC.

What’s the most surprising thing about Northwest Christian?

As a small college, it has continued to grow when many small colleges are not.

Favorite thing about Northwest Christian:

It helped me build a foundation for life.

Special Interests:

Family (grandchildren), fly fishing, hunting, nature photography, choral music.

Favorite Northwest Christian event/tradition:

Graduation

Advice for incoming students:

Education is more than subject matter learning.  It is also learning how to relate to others.  Northwest Christian gives students more than the "what"; it gives the "how" as well.

I like my job because of…

The ability to make a difference for Oregon.

Greatest accomplishment so far:

Oregon Business Statesman of the Year Award

Where do you see yourself in five years?

Spending more time with my grandchildren!
