There are way TOO many. Music is my life. To name a few, The Shins, The Decemberists, The White Stripes, Missy Higgins, Muse, Sufjan Stevens, The Arcade Fire, Ben Gibbard, Stars and Modest Mouse.
Favorite movie:
Without a doubt, School of Rock and Without a Paddle. With a little bit of Little Miss Sunshine thrown in there somewhere.
Guilty Pleasure:
Watching concerts on YouTube with a Pint of Ben and Jerry’s Everything But the… in my hand.
Why Northwest Christian?
It’s such a small wholesome community. I love that about it. The classes are small enough I don’t get lost in them. And I heard they had a great Education Program. Which they do!

Favorite thing about Northwest Christian:
It’s small, and has some of the coolest people I’ll ever know. Whether they come in the form of Students, Professors, Staff, etc.
Favorite Professor:
Loren Crow. He’s pretty funny. He’s an amazing Professor! And he likes The Decemberists!
Favorite Northwest Christian event/tradition:
Beacon Night Live! Male Pageant to the theme of Saturday Night Live. Priceless.
Advice for incoming students:
Get ready for constant change. This is the time when you can choose to grow in so many ways. Try to stay true to yourself and who God is creating you to be. It’s amazing who and what He can bring your way when you give it up to Him!

I want to go back to Africa and travel and be with children, and that is a possibility now!
Greatest accomplishment so far:
Staying in College, keeping two jobs and surviving my first semester of Practicum teaching in a First Grade classroom!
