Part-Time Educational Assistants

These positions assist our educators in enhancing the learning experience for NCCC students.

Anticipated Part-Time EA Openings for Spring 2017 Semester

  • Part-Time Interpreters for the Deaf
    • Qualifications:
      • RID certified
      • NAD certified
      • Also hiring pre certified individuals who have passed an Interpreter training program AND have passed the written portion of the RID NIC
    • Duties Include:
      • Interpreting for mainstream courses in a variety of subjects
      • Interpreting for college events as needed
      • Preparing for courses if needed
    • Minimum Salary/Compensation: $32.24 per hour
    • Per Diem up to 17 hours per week

Part-Time Tutors


Part-Time Adjunct Faculty & Clinical Faculty Positions

Anticipated Adjunct Openings for Spring 2017 Semester (January - May)

  • Part-Time Lecturer needed to teach "Music History and Appreciation I"
    • Study of music from the Middle Ages to the present using lectures, recordings, and outside listening assignments
    • Previous training not required. A field trip may be required.
    • This is a 3-credit course
    • Class meets Mondays & Wednesdays, 5:00 - 6:20 PM
    • Applicants must have a Masters Degree in Music or a related field
    • Minimum Salary/Compensation: $1,546 - $1,663 per credit hour

  • Part-Time Lecturers needed to teach American Sign Language / Deaf Studies / Interpreting
    • Qualifications: 
      • Master’s Degree in related field
      • Fluent in both American Sign Language and English
      • Experience teaching American Sign Language using a bi/lingual, bi/cultural approach
      • Experience using current curriculum ie: Signing Naturally
      • Teachers for Interpreting courses RID/NAD certification preferred
    • Duties Include:
      • Preparing for and teaching college credit courses
      • Meeting with students
      • Attending meetings
    • Minimum Salary/Compensation: $1,546 - $1,663 per credit hour

Part-Time Lecturers (Days, Evenings, Weekends)

NCCC is developing an applicant pool for potential Part-Time Lecturers in all subject areas which may become available in the next academic semester.

  • Minimum Qualifications: Master's Degree in the discipline or related field, plus 0-2 years of college teaching experience.
  • Minimum Salary/Compensation: $1,546 - $1,663 per credit hour

Part-Time Nursing Clinical Faculty (Less than 20 hours/week)

  • Mininum Salary/Compensation: $77.51 per hour

Non-Credit Lecturers/Continuing Education

The degree requirements for NCCC Non-Credit Instructors, hours per week, and salary varies depending on the position.

Business and Professional Development: Finance; Bookkeeping; Communications; Leadership; Management; Supervision and Team Building

Computer Technology: QuickBooks; Cyber Security; Mobile Apps; Networking

Manufacturing: Math and Metrology; Bluepring Reading

Trades: Construction and Green Technology; OSHA

Registered Nurses: Part-time temporary or per-diem instruction in varied health programs

Nurses' Aide - Clinical: Requires two years of recent nursing home experience supervising Certified Nursing Assistants. Day, evening and some Saturday shifts.

Hospital Patient Care Technician: Experience in phlebotomy or acute care medical/surgical settings
