A native of Portland, Oregon (and a graduate of Jefferson High School), I studied history at Seattle Pacific University, Stanford University and the University of California at Los Angeles. After serving a three-year term as director of an adult education program, Alfalit Boliviano, in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, I taught Latin American History and Third World Studies at Seattle Pacific and Pepperdine Universities. From 2004 to 2006, I taught Chinese university students the "History and Culture of English-Speaking Nations" in Nanjing, China. I have enjoyed teaching at Northwest Christian since August, 2006.
