Program Structure

Adult students typically learn best when interacting in small classes that encourage participation. That's why most classes offered here enroll only twelve to eighteen students. And whether you realize it or not, as an adult student you bring more to the table. Your participation is key, and the life experiences that you bring into the classroom enrich discussions for you, your fellow students and your professors. It's your education, so plan on being very involved.

Project Teams

Another advantage of our Professional Studies Program is the camraderie with other students. When you join one of our programs at NCC, you join a small group of students pursuing the same degree. The project team concept involves the sharing of all of the knowledge, maturity and talents that the adult learner provides, along with the sharing of the varying interpretations of new knowledge resulting from past experience.

Teamwork provides an opportunity for sharing knowledge, experience, and talents. Through NCC project teams, adult students have an opportunity to transmit to other team members their expertise, learning, and ideas and in return learn new professional concepts from their fellow students. The groups are major learning resources for all involved. Some of the most successful project teams are made up of individuals who bring diverse backgrounds to the groups.
