If you are dreaming of working within churches and Christian institutions, the Bible and Christian Ministries Program at Northwest Christian College is a great place to get the knowledge, skill, and faith development you'll need to be an effective Christian leader. With tracks in the areas of Bible and Theology, and Christian Ministry (Pastoral, Global, and Youth), the Bible and Christian Ministry Studies major has something appropriate to any ministry focus.
Along with professors who offer insight and experience within your area of specialty, you will have the added benefit of studying at a liberal arts institution where faith is the cornerstone of all academic study. The result is that you get a broad knowledge base supporting your specific ministry focus, making you more relevant to the spiritual needs of those you will serve. Our program is excellent preparation for any graduate or professional program for which a liberal arts background is helpful, including law, management, and political science.
For more than 110 years, Northwest Christian College has been preparing people for ministry in the church, workplace and world. This continues to be one of our main curricular and career focuses.

Campus Activities: Because of the vibrant Christian character of our campus, B&CM students have a special opportunity to provide intellectual and spiritual leadership across campus. Whether it’s debating theological questions in the residence halls late at night, organizing overseas mission trips, or participating in relief work, students set the spiritual tone of the campus. Ministry students are also active in the Ministry Club, which focuses on both social and professional development. In addition to bringing in local pastors and Christian leaders to share their experience and discuss issues related to their vocation, the Ministry Club also attends special conferences and hosts an annual regional conference on campus through Youth Specialties called The Core.
