Interested in how people behave and think? Want to know what makes them tick? As a Psychology major, you’ll study the very essence of being human, such as how we process information, learn, develop, and relate to others—as well as how our psychological functioning is influenced by biology and the social world in which we live. At Northwest Christian, we view psychology as an exciting journey into the study of one of God’s greatest creations—the human mind. This exploration of the wonders of the mind and human behavior reveals further the dimensions of God’s grace. As you study the basic psychological principles within the context of Christianity, you’ll be informed by both the Gospel and current research.
The Psychology major at Northwest Christian College will prepare you for careers in mental health, counseling, and community and social services. It’s also a great major for those interested in people-oriented jobs like human resources, business, sales, marketing, and ministry.
At Northwest Christian College, you will not only learn the skills necessary for a career or graduate studies in the field of psychology, you will do so in classes where a Christian and liberal arts foundation ensures that your knowledge is broaden, that your work is ethical, and that your faith is deepened.
