James Park is on 19th Ave. about one block off of Franklin Blvd.
The best exit off I-5, either from the north or south, would be 189 (the 30th St. exit). If you are coming from the south, go straight through the stop sign and travel along the river toward Springfield. You will come to 19th Ave., which is right before the railroad trestle that crosses over the road. Turn left, which is the only way you can turn. The field is about a block up the street on the left. There is an old large red house that hides the field from the road. The entrance to the park is right after the house on the left.
If you are coming from the north, take the same exit but you will turn left at the stop light toward Springfield. Follow the same directions.
If you are coming from Eugene or Springfield, turn onto Franklin Blvd. South. Turn at the U-haul store on the west side of the Springfield Bridge. Go under the railroad trestle and turn right onto 19th Ave.
Some landmarks:
- Glenwood Foreign Auto Parts store borders 19th Ave. on the south side with the trestle on the north side of the street.
- Shamrock Village Mobile Home Park is on the east side of Franklin right across from 19th Ave.
- U-Haul at the signal on Franklin Blvd.
