Grants

Grants are primarily awarded to students on the basis of need and can come from a variety of sources. Northwest Christian participates in all grant programs at the Federal and State level as well as having our own need based grant program. Northwest Christian administers the following grants:

Federal Pell Grant

Undergraduate students can receive a Pell Grant up to $4,310 per academic year based upon their level of need as determined by the Department of Education through the FAFSA. Pell Grant amounts may vary from one year to the next depending on the level of need a student demonstrates on the annual FAFSA.

Federal SEOG Grant

The Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) is awarded to undergraduate students who are enrolled at least half-time and show exceptional financial need as determined by the FAFSA. Annual award amounts range from $500 - $1,000.

Federal Academic Competitiveness Grant (ACG)

The Federal Academic Competitiveness Grant is for Pell Grant recipients who are U.S. Citizens enrolled full-time in their first or second academic year of study. First academic year students must have completed a rigorous high school program of study, graduated from high school after January 1, 2006, and not been previously enrolled in an undergraduate program.
