Process of Verification

The U.S. Department of Education selectes approximately one-third of all Student Aid Reports (SARs) for verification. If your SAR is selected for verification, Northwest Christian College will ask you to provide additional documents to verift your FAFSA information. These documents usually consist of completing a verification worksheet and submitting copies of Federal 1040 tax returns from the previous year for you and/or your parent(s) or spouse.

The Northwest Christian College Financial Aid Office asks for additional data only if your SAR has been selected for verification by the U.S. Department of Education. Using your SAR, look for the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) located beneath the date. If you see an asterisk (*) after the EFC, your SAR has been selected. You must submit the information requested by the NCC Financial Aid Office as soon as possible. Please be aware that your financial aid cannot be processed until your verification materials are received.
