NCC HOLDS PREVIEW DAYS FOR PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS

Eugene, Ore.---Northwest Christian College (NCC) hosted 47 prospective students and their guests during two Preview Day events last month.

The April 12-13 preview event included 36 prospective students from Oregon, Washington and California.  According to Jennifer Samples, director of admissions, prospects included high school sophomores, juniors and seniors, as well as transfer students.  Student athletes in men’s and women’s soccer, volleyball and basketball were among those visiting NCC.  In addition to orientation sessions on the college and financial aid, they attended classes with current NCC students and participated in other campus events.

April 25 was Transfer Preview Day, with 11 students and their guests attending.  Of those, nine were students who have committed to NCC and registered for fall classes.  All 11 were from Oregon, although one student moved to Oregon from Idaho several months ago specifically to attend NCC.

“Our current students do a lot to help make Preview Day run smoothly,” says Samples.  “Laser tag on Friday was a big hit and we had great current student participation for that as well.”
