The Oregon Summer Institute of Linguistics (ORSIL) runs June 12 – August 12, 2006, on the campus of Northwest Christian College.

ORSIL is an intense academic program with courses designed for those interested in cross-cultural language work, linguistics, or teaching language as a career. In addition to classes, there is a daily chapel service during ORSIL.

The Oregon Summer Institute of Linguistics (ORSIL) is affiliated with SIL international; Wycliffe Bible Translators, USA; and Northwest Christian College. All courses offered at ORSIL are accredited through Northwest Christian College. All courses offer semester credits and most can be taken for undergraduate or graduate level credit. Most ORSIL courses fulfill requirements for the linguistics program offered at the University of Oregon.
