OSHA 10 For Construction

The Office of Workforce Development at Northwestern Connecticut Community College is excited to be offering this OSHA 10 course for the construction trade! As we all know, maintaining a safe and healthy workplace environment, especially in the construction trade, is vitally important. This course, taught by an OSHA-authorized instructor, will provide you with an official OSHA 10 card from the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL). This in-person and fully interactive course will provide an orientation to OSHA training standards, cover health hazards and safety practices for people who work on construction sites, and will especially focus on hazard identification, avoidance, control, and prevention.

This course is perfect for entry-level workers in construction, demolition, building development and any other fields in the construction industry. Depending on your employer or location, this course may be voluntary or mandatory.


Instructor: Robin Denny holds a BS in Occupational Safety and Health, A Masters Certificate in Emergency Management, a MS in Public Safety Management, and is a State of CT certified Fire Marshal. Robin has spent thirty seven years in the safety, environmental, emergency services fields, and improves great companies and their profitability with personalized risk management and environmental systems training.

Prerequisites for the class include: High school level reading and comprehension skills.

Perks: There are no required textbooks for this class.

  2. CRN: 3296 – September 13, 14, & 15 from 5:00-9:00PM
  3. CRN: 3409 – October 26, 27 from 8:00AM-3:30PM
