Northwestern Connecticut Community College is proud to have a large number of students who have valiantly served our country. We welcome them from all branches of the military and admire their dedication to pursuing their post-service dreams. NCCC offers Counseling Assistance to help veterans and members of the Army and Air National Guard navigate the college process.

The Veteran Counselor meets with veterans to help:

  • Process paperwork;
  • Apply for and receive waivers of tuition and/or the G.I. Bill, when eligible; and
  • Explain NCCC procedures.

Veterans’ Oasis

We also have a brand new drop-in center for NCCC veterans, Veterans’ Oasis, in the Robert C. White building. It’s a place for veterans and reservists to come together through the common bonds of serving our country. Lending support to one another as they re-enter civilian life at Northwestern Connecticut Community College.
